Dance Austin is a unique dance and fitness studio designed for all ages, levels, and styles! We provide personalized and comprehensive training to both the professional and recreational dancer as well as the fitness enthusiast. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality dance and fitness instruction in Austin while focusing on a fun, safe and non-competitive atmosphere! We offer classes for kids, teens, and adults. With classes such as Hip Hop, Modern/Contemporary, Zumba, Ballet, Go-Go Cardio Mix and Sexy Stiletto Fit, there's a little something for everyone!

DANCE AUSTIN STUDIO CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
ADULT & TEEN CLASSES
Abs Express: This 30 minute class will shape up your core and melt away inches. Each movement tightens, tapers, and strengthens your mid-section. NO EXPERIENCE necessary. Enjoy fun and upbeat music while burning some serious calories!
Ballet Technique for Adults: Finally a ballet class thats non-competitive or judgmental! Each class will focus on technique, terminology, and musicality; all while demonstrating that ballet can be enjoyable, fun, and even sassy! Attention will be given to perfecting ballet technique, at the barre and in center, all while toning and strengthening muscles.
B.A.M! Express: This 30 minute express class will focuses on your Butt, Abs, and other Major muscle groups. Enjoy great music while you shape and tone up those hard to reach places. Combine B.A.M! along with our other great dance & fitness classes and see results in no time!
Beginning Hip Hop: Get ready to sweat by learning todays hottest hip hop moves! A style you can make all your own. Learn the moves you see on the big screen and become your own star. Students will build stamina, movement memory as, well as gain skills in freestyle dance.
Hip Hop Yoga: Hip Hop Yoga is an energetic flowing yoga practice that will have you sweating and feeling great. The hip hop and dance music will keep you moving and motivated throughout the poses. *Please bring your yoga mat or towel
Go-Go Cardio Mix: Want to spice up your dance or fitness routine? Well Go-Go Cardio Mix is WAY more fun than running on a boring treadmill! Enjoy learning easy to follow dance moves to a mix of the hottest songs (Hip Hop, Pop, R&B etc.) This class is upbeat, energetic, and full of life. Be ready to sweat, increase endurance, shed pounds, and get fit, all while having a blast!
Intermediate Hip Hop: This class uses old-school beats and modern day Hip-Hop/R&B hits. It will fuse the elements of todays hottest moves to create a unique blend of hip-hop choreography. This class will help you expand your learning curve and advance your technique in hip hop while challenging you mentally and physically. You will learn to understand the movement and execute moves such as isolations, waving, and main-stream music video styles.
Leaps, Turns, & Kicks: A great way for any level student to improve their dance training! Class is focused on proper dance technique, skills, and proper placement. After a short center warm-up, this class will focus solely on perfecting turns and various lyrical, ballet, and jazz leaps. This class is also great for those auditioning for dance teams; the instructor is a 4 year professional NBA dancer and prior dance team director.
Operation: Summer Slim Down: Summer is here! Its time to get summertime fit! Start up your fitness routine or keep it going all summer long. Saturdays during June - August will be dedicated to burning the fat, toning muscles, and sculpting your curves. Each week will have a different focus. Classes will include Go-Go Cardio Mix, Tone it Up!, Core-Fusion Yoga, and ZUMBA.
Pro Dance Prep: Perfect for those wanting to audition for pro, collegiate, or even HS teams. Or for those that want to brush up on technique and challenge themselves.You will learn pro level dance techniques including leaps, turns, and kicks, as well as sassy and high energy style choreography. This class will work on your precision, performance, and showmanship, as well learning auditioning tips etc. Learn from instructors that have worked with the finest college elite and NBA & NFL professional dance and cheer teams.
Sexy Stiletto Fit: Sexy Stiletto Fitness will help you unleash your inner diva, teach you fierce dance moves, keep you fit, and boost your confidence! This class consists of a short warm-up (including toning and ab exercises), across the floor movement in heels, learning exciting & sexy choreography, and performing it for fun. You will leave feeling like Beyonce performing in one of her latest videos! Guaranteed to be the sexiest sweat you will ever break! *Stilettos are optional, ages 18+
Stylized Jazz: An evolving form of dance based on technique, this style uses isolations, rhythms and contrasting movements. It includes styles such as latin, lyrical, contemporary, funk, and pop! Learn leaps, turns, and awesome choreography. It's a great way for any dancer (and dancer at heart) to improve their dance skills and have fun while doing it!
Tone It Up!: This class is a non-stop, fat burning, body toning workout. You'll start with a brief warm-up and go right into a heart pumping cardio set. Kari will then lead you through a series of exercises that will help tone your arms, abs, legs, and buns. This class is set to energetic music and is a great compliment to Dance Austin cardio classes such as Go-Go Cardio or ZUMBA. Give it a try and watch your body transform!
Video Vixen (Hip Hop): In this class you will dance to the hottest Hip-Hop/R&B hits! It will fuse the elements of todays hottest moves to create a unique blend of hip-hop choreography focusing on sassy, main-stream music video styles, all while perfecting your performance.
Zumba: Work out & have fun! Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms such as, Cumbia, Reggeaton, Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha and more! These easy-to-follow moves are for any fitness level at any age. This cardio based work out is fun and exhilarating!
Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet: A class for young children just developing their motor skills. The class will help develop the child's mental and physical understanding of their body's movements. They will learn and develop their own dances and prepare them for ballet and jazz classes.
Kids Ballet: Students will learn ballet vocabulary, musical phrasing, and choreography. The class will consist of a barre warm-up, centre floor work, and across the floor exercises. Students will be given the opportunity to showcase their own creativity.
Kids Break Dancing: This popular class offers step-by-step instruction for all of the foundational Break Dance moves, and makes it easy for beginners to get started. Learn from master B-boy instructor Blitz!
Kids Hip Hop: A very popular high energy class, where students learn the latest dance moves along with the technique of putting the moves into a choreographed routine. All classes are high energy and include a fun hip hop warm-up and free style session! Taught to kid friendly hip hop music.
Kids Jazz: Students will learn basic jazz fundamentals and terminology. This class improves flexibility, coordination, balance and dance technique. Students dance to fun and inspiring music!
Kids Pre-Hop: This 45 minute class is designed as an introduction to the rhythms, movement and style of hip hop. The class will help develop the child's mental and physical understanding of their body's movements. Taught to age appropriate hip hop music.
Rhythm & Movement: Similar to our prior Pre-Hop class, in this creative movement class young children will develop their rhythmic and motor skills. They will move and shake to kid friendly music, play fun dance games, and learn basic tumbling! They will also learn and develop their own dances to inspire their creativity.
Kids Tumbling: No prior tumbling experience required. This class will focus on building the proper technique and execution of cartwheels, round-offs, standing back handsprings and round-off back handsprings.
