Weekly Affirmation: Finding Stillness
“Stillness comes from within you; it doesn’t come from outside you.”
The world has become a race to transport information, increase productivity, and travel from place to place. There’s always an errand or project going on. I find that practicing stillness is sometimes the hardest to accomplish, especially with so much caffeine helping me operate!
A lot of people live in this reality of constant multitasking. Balance in life is key. With this weekly affirmation, it reminds me to be still and centered while all of the chaos is happening around me. Stillness can be physical practices such as yoga, meditation, stretching, a peaceful walk, and even watching a sunrise or sunset. The main one I forget to do is mindful breathing through the day.
More than anything else, I envy the people who have days who chill out with a good book, a bubble bath, and a glass of wine. Finding these moments slow down life, allows people to live out their lives.
Remember to take breaks throughout the day
